I own this baseball that was signed during at the 1969 American Airlines Astrojet Golf Tournament at the La Costa Country Club in Carlsbad California.

The tourney pitted NFL players vs. MLB players or retired players and was played on February 15, 1969.

Photo #1 (need help with the auto right below Jackie Robinson and also opinions on the ?Willie Mays? auto on same panel.

I think the the one under Bunning, which looks to me like Tommie Sisk, the one under Jackie Robinson, could be Wayne Causey but hard to tell from the angle.

Thank you all so much. It is incredible that I posted the mystery autos and within an hour had almost all identified! Cool!

You Tube...

Go to you tube and search for:

Joe Namath, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle in Sports Celebrity Golf Tournament 1969

and this tourney pops up with a cool short video of these guys golfing and signing autos. Jackie is in the middle of the clip signing! Very cool!

Could it be Willie Davis? Any chance you could take a better picture of just that signature?

vthobby 08-10-2015 05:04 PM

Here it is....

I guess it could be either Willie Davis (MLB or NFL) but it looks more like the MLB Willie and since Drysdale and Tommy Davis were at the tourney, then it is possible he was there.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I found something that had said he was there, that's what I thought it might be a possibility.

I think it is Willie Davis MLB judging from the way the W is formed and from what looks like the D where the pen skipped.

Thanks

Thanks guys! Big help! Can you check my other post as I also have a single signed 1994 baseball that I am not sure on, thanks again!
