MY HOF signed 8x10 collection!
Hey guys,
motivated by some members here, I have decided to try to collect as many different HOF signed 8x10's as possible. Im not sure how many of the 310 HOF members are possible, but I will post what I get here. Im just starting out, so wish me luck! Also, please let me know if any autos in your opinion dont look legit to you as ive bought most either on EBAY or from members of this site and other sites in good faith that they are legit/authentic. Id rather you tell me that they are not legit or good than for me to keep them in my collection (ill rather put them in the shredder and buy/trade for authentic ones if any of these autos are deemed not authentic by you guys) thanks 14/310 HOF Signed Photos=2% Completed! http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...am/aaron_1.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...Bam/mays_1.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...am/mathews.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...am/carlton.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...am/snider2.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...hoendienst.jpg |

Great start. No offense, but you change collecting focuses as much as I change my underwear.

thanks guys for your responses.!
yes, i do. I actually have Attention Deficit Disorder. i have tried collecting all kinds of signed things, baseballs, bats, cards, but i always seem to come back to photos. I love photography ever since i took a photography class in high school. so i figure if i collected everything and never found a passion or desire to stick to it, and i keep coming back to 8x10's, then that must really be my passion. its VERY hard for em to stick to one thing, but im hoping photos will be my focus from here on out. Attention Deficit Disorder sucks, just be glad that you dont have it my friend. it really, really sucks especially when trying to concentrate on one collecting theme in this hobby (with so many different collecting choices) |
BamBam, I hope I did not offend you! I didn't realize you had diagnosed ADD! After I posted this comment, I was cleaning my home office. I have a shelf of signed baseballs, probably about 30, in my office. Mostly HOF, but I also have my 500 HR baseballs on there too. So some non-HOFers sprinkled in along with my all-time favorite player Don Mattingly. Other than some 500HR guys, I havent added any signed baseballs in a long time. I thought "Man, I wish I did not change projects so much" as a full size wall of HOF baseballs would be an amazing project.
I have jumped around a lot as well. I have a few multi-signed HOF projects, but I am working on the yellow HOF plaques right now. I do wish I had stayed with the OMLBs when I was younger. But I do a lot of these TTM and its expensive to ship, plus each one is $15 - $20. Keep up the nice project!! |
no worries at all. thanks

Does anyone know how many of the 310 HOF members are possible to get signed on 8x10's? Are there any players that are impossible or hard to get? thanks
|
I have two words for you. Addie.... Joss....

thanks for the info and advice. i havent done research yet because im still trying to get the guys of this generation (the living hofers now) I might actually just try to collect the living HOF and recently deceased (banks, gwynn, musial, etc) that might be more attainable for me. especially with limited funds that i have.
