1916 World Series Ticket Boston Red Sox vs Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers)

Babe Ruth's Red Sox

October 11, 1916 Ebbets Field Brooklyn, New York

Game 4 Ticket - only 3 in existence!!!!! (graded by PSA)
Gorgeous Ticket with Great Graphics - they just don't make 'em like that anymore!!!!

PSA POP Report
Game 1 - 1
Game 2 - 3
Game 3 - 5
Game 4 - 3
Game 5 - 3

Rare matchup of A New York Team vs a Boston Team for the World Series!!!

Dutch Leonard and Babe Ruth's Boston Red Sox defeat Rube Marquard and the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) 6-2 in game 4.

Boston would go on to defeat their New York rival 4 games to 1. The last time Boston would defeat a team from New York for the World Series (99 years ago).

SOLD!!

Very reasonable considering half a ticket just went for $1252 at Goodwin in June of this year - same Game 4 too:

Hi, a fellow NET54-er just asked why does the the Ticket itself say Game 2, but the PSA holder says its for Game 4.

Prior to 1920 most World Series Tickets are numbered like that, the NL & AL would each number their tickets Games 1,2,3,4, so you could see a ticket that has Game 1 on both an NL and an AL stub.

So while it says Game 2 on it, it is Game 2 AT EBBETS FIELD, the 1st 2 games were played in Boston. This is Game 4 (or Game 2 at Ebbets).

Paul is absolutely correct on the WS game number, FWIW.
