69 Topps Ryan ... worth grading?
2 Attachment(s)
Even though I've been buying cards for awhile I'm terrible at guessing grades. I'm looking for opinions on what grade this card would get. I have it on ebay now and I'm thinking of taking the listing down and sending it out to PSA.
Thanks |
You mean, 1969 Topps Ryan, Dan. My guess would be a 7 due to centering.

Corners look great, but centering is off both top to bottom and left to right. Also looks like a rough cut at the top. I'd guess a 6.

Are those dots on the left border dust or pen/pencil? If so, you're dealing with a MK designator. Looks like the white dot on the right black line is a common print defect for this card.
|
I think it could possibly pull as high as 8 (OC), but the bottom right corner might keep it out of an 8 holder.

Looks like a really nice card. I agree with a previous poster, you are looking like a 7 IMO. Nice coloring, corners look good. You could always leave the card ungraded, pocket the $$$ for the grade and buy another card.:D

White print dot or mark by fingers, print flaw? could change number if not a clean print

7.5 oc

With the condition of the card and the "Book" price your risk/reward for getting the cards graded is very low. I would go ahead and have it graded and also specify no "qualifiers" or you can go to BVG or SGC where your card will just be given a grade.
Either way, you're fine getting that card graded Rich |
I agree with Andrew... Looks like a solid 6 IMO!
|
Looks destined for a O/C qualifier. However, lately I have only been receiving O/C qualifiers from PSA on cards with 8 quality or better.
|
Do you have a link to the listing? This is something I might be interested in bidding on. Thanks!
