Might want to be careful with ebay seller Paolodrn

Noticed this seller has some high end items up for sale.
The 1915 Rare boston Red Sox pin that he has up for sale is the same pin that just finished in Hakes auction and sold for 537. He wants 2499. The photo he is using is the same right down to the little stain on the ribbon below the star. Ebay item # 171859535726.
If someone can do a link I would appriciate it, He is From Canada...

follow up????

Seller contacted me after I emailed him thru ebay. Says he won this pin in the auction, BUT the auction just ended yesterday! His auction has been running for the last 5 days! Well I guess you be the judge:rolleyes::rolleyes: Something just isnt right here. Maybe the card guys can check into some of those cards to see if the pics were lifted....

I don't mean this to sound condescending, but are you sure he wasn't the winner of the pin? It wouldn't be the first time someone relisted an auction win before physically having it in hand. Not a good practice in my opinion due to the issues that can arise should anything go wrong with the shipping, but not illegal. And while the 5x markup borders on being criminal, it's not unheard of either.

Lance I did say he contacted me and said he won the pin. If that is his pratice to post the pin before he has physical ownership of it and at 5X the sale price well something isnt right... But like I stated in the opening YOU MIGHT WANT TO BE CAREFUL WITH HIM>>>

If he is the current owner and can find someone dumb enough to shell out $2500 for that pin more power to him.

Looking at the feedback, it looks like the seller prices items very high and then accepts best offers frequently. Not illegal, but hopefully the buyers were knowledgeable.
