Prices on all those PSA 7s at Mile High last night?
Wonder what anyone else who followed thought about how things ended up. Was quite a selection with hard to estimate values-- you know, like PSA 7 EPDG commons......

Too bad you couldn't have found a forum member to have given you a serious break on a few of those too! You could have sent them in to Mile High 5 minutes after you received them for a 50% return on your "investment" ..... I mean, you probably wouldn't like the little plastic cases they're stored in. |
Phelps psa 7
OK SO I WAS OUTBID But $9,000 for a psa 7 Sov. Phelps make no sense; I mean if you're crazy enough go bid $2,000 but this is insane---- I can't believe there are 2 whales that crazy out there. this is beyond comprehension and I guess there are some new whales in the ocean. I thought i was pretty familiar with the high bidders of T206/T206 backs but I guess not!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bid up to 800 or 900 on a few that ended going for just a little more than that--perhaps they will prove to be bargains! Certainly there has been a trend lately to seemingly go by pop reports in judging value of PSA 7s--but also PSA 6s. Prices have really gone up for ones where there are (relatively) fewer higher. So a Kroh card, for example, soars in value, at least at 6 and above...

The PSA 5 EPDG's were strong IMO. Very upset I couldn't pull 1 more bid out of me for Doyle.

Mile High
I got trumped on most but did end up winning the EPDG Joe Lake SGC80 @ $291 (before juice) Also got the Brown Hindu George McQuillan PSA4 @ $572 (again, before juice). Nice looking cards that I thought were reasonable given recent prices and what I could find historically on VCP.
I did notice that many of the EPDGs seemed to go quite high. Even though that's not considered as difficult as many of the other backs, I think there's a natural interest and attraction to EPDG over the look, detail and name. Similar to how some love their SOVs bcse of the green and unique look/detail. I loved that EPDG Dolly Gray PSA6 (centered, clean) but got out-bid in the early morning hours. Likewise, that Buck Herzog Cycle 460 was a nice card - had an initial high bid but got wiped out soon afterwards - that went for twice what I had! |
Looks like the Titus went for a reasonable price...I guess the Titus craze has simmered down.
