Misc nicer pre-wwii items for sale
As with the autographs I just listed, those of you who would be interested in purchasing any of these items probably are already familiar with them, so I'll make them available now and add photos/scans as I create them, or as they are requested by collectors with serious interest.
Prices include shipping, by cashier's check - add 3% for Paypal, 9.5% if Washington state resident. Contact me by email - info at belltownvintagecards dot com Thanks
Most of my collection and inventory is now available, whether it is listed for sale or not. Some of these are very large items, so I will scan or photograph as requested by serious collectors. |
Johnson Swatch Display
I have not seen the piece outside of the frame, so not sure how large the actual swatch page is (small pic just shows the part that is viewable in the frame); however, the entire framed piece is 23.75 x 25.25 |
Fatima Ad with Walter Johnson (actual ad is actually much closer to an even rectangle - this is a photo, not a scan)
Originally folded twice, the fold lines are worn in well with a small area worn through in the center, but it displays very nicely and is very close to flat. I have not seen another one of these ads with Johnson. Approx 12.5 x 18.75 |
1913 Kansas City Blues team - includes several players from the T206 set
Silver gel photo glued to a piece of cardboard and then matted (period as far as I can tell) - the photo with cardboard backing was glued around the extreme edges, to the back of the matting. The frame that it came in was period and the matting job appears to be period. This came from Paddy O'Connor's estate (back-up catcher for the 1909 Pittsburg Pirates and shown at far right in 2nd row from bottom) and most of the pieces I picked up in the lot had thin black frames. The frame and glass will not come with this - I am only shipping the matted photo. The mat is actually a little larger than this photo, as I cropped this image from a photo of the piece when it was framed. **NOTE** The print is in great shape, but there is a small puncture just to the right of the 'KC' in the cap of the third player from the left, top row. You probably would not notice it unless you ran your finger over the print. Actual print is 8 3/8 x 12 1/4" Total size with matting is 11 1/2 x 13" |
1898 Supplement
Stiff thin cardboard - not paper. Some obvious wear. This is the first version of this that I have seen printed by the Baltimore American. This is a stitching together of three scans with the piece partially covered by a plastic top-loader, so not so great. I will try to take a decent photograph tomorrow. Size is 10 x 16" |
1910 Pirates Publication - large 9 x 12"
Rough - covers and some pages disattached, but tough to find. 19 pages with one-player caricatures (like the Wagner and Clarke shown below), two with 4 players, one with 2 players. Loads of stats. |

1898 Supplement and Walter Johnson swatch display are sold.

Many items still available. Actually, almost everything I own is available but it's going to take a while to get it all listed here and on ebay.

bump...many items still available.
Everything in my current 'for sale' inventory (stuff now on ebay or here) will be either consigned, sold via straight auctions on ebay or moved to 'collection' status, over the next two months, so feel free to make offers. This isn't a 'fire sale', but I generally accept offers as they relate to my cost. |
Didn't I reach out to you one the one? I honestly can't remember.
