It is what the owner says it is. These were signed as part of a contest for Sinclair Oil. Babe did not sign them, but they do have some value to some people. The price is maybe slightly high but I have seen similar ones sell in the $300 range.

Agreed, I see no issue in selling something for what it is.

The issue is, although the seller is being honest, a piece of material which is not authentic.

But he is selling it as not authentic. So whomever buys it knows what they are getting. Understanding the next seller might not be so honest, you see an issue with this sale?

Some of these in the past have sold for over $800.00.

I have it on my "Watched" list.

I see no issue at all with the seller's description.

They are quite popular with collectors.

Brian "The Mayor of eBay" Van Horn! Keep em coming! What would we do without all these fascinating auctions you bring forth?

People who know Ruth memorabilia well enough know exactly what these are. No issues here at all.

The "autograph" on this one is a bit rough, thus I figured around $300.

Recent Ebay sales of Babe Ruth "Sinclair" baseballs have ranged from $206.00 to $575.00.

The last two two Sinclair Oil "Ruth" balls I sold were $311 and $500. They are actually pretty popular.
