The "Easy Five"

524. Cobb (Red Portrait) 1 in 132 cards (0.25 difficulty , 1.0 = typical)
523. Mathewson (Dark Cap) 1 in 184 cards (0.35 difficulty)
522. Chase (Dark Cap) 1 in 215 cards (0.41 difficulty)
521. Chance (Yellow Portrait) 1 in 219 cards (0.42 difficulty)
520. Evers (Yellow Sky) 1 in 227 cards (0.43 difficulty)

No surprise. All superprints.

Edited to add: Chase (Blue Portrait) the last superprint is #516.

Thats cool Scott... see stuff like this I do not know, maybe I should but to this point in my short collecting time I do not. Curious, what is the most common common :) ..... or is there a list somewhere?

If you talk true common, then you can probably use the pop reports to make those assumptions as to which common is most common......haha

First one that sticks out at me is Maddox.....

sreader3 06-02-2015 08:27 AM

Hey Jeff,

My survey data agree with you regarding the most common common.

504T. Maddox 1 in 317 cards (0.60 difficulty)

I think some of the Pirates (Maddox, Phillippe, D. Miller, Abstein) were double-printed (or at least extra-printed) with Piedmont 350 in response to their World Series win in 1909.

Donnie,

Beyond the pop reports (which are very skewed to higher value subjects), I don't think these data are available without some independent number crunching. The pop reports also tell next to nothing about the relative scarcity of specific front/back combinations.

Scot

Based on EBay, I would have guessed the Wagner reprint was the most common T206
