Here's The Ticket - Enjoy the Game SOLD
It was a cloudy day on the shores of Lake Michigan when the Bucs visited County Stadium in late August.
Bob Friend started for the Pirates and batted 7th and collected 2 of the 4 Pittsburgh hits. Bob Buhl was the Braves starter. Rookie secondbaseman Bill Mazeroski, the future HOFer, batted ninth. In the second inning Friend beaned Bobby Thomson wearing a batting helmet. The Pirates mandated helmets for their team in 1953 and the Braves followed suit in 1954. The game was tied 1-1 entering the ninth inning. Groat walked and Frank Thomas, the original Frank Thomas;), flied out and then the rains came. Both Friend and Buhl were still pitching in ninth without relief. The game was never finished, but if it ever is, here is an unused ticket. You can be there to find out who wins. After a 59 year rain delay, I would expect that closers would be needed.:D Please note that finding your seat in what is now the Miller Park parking lot could be a problem as well. The ticket is in excellent condition. Let's start the auction at the face value of $1.85. Minimum increments of at least a buck (increment changed after initial bid) please. The auction will end tomorrow evening, Memorial Day, at 8PM sharp CDT. http://www.collectorfocus.com/images...lwaukee-ticket |
I'll start with $15.

One of Frank's most famous catalog narratives was for the Urban Sombrero. http://imagecache.w00t.com/?url=http...n_sombrero.png |
