Which pennant holder do you think is best and why.
The ones I see on ebay are ultra pro and
bcw.

Are you asking about the rigid plastic or the soft?

There are benefits to both types. For the rigid, I prefer UltraPro. The BCW brand seems to be a tad larger, and works for slightly oversized pennants. But most fit perfectly in the UltraPro holders. I don't love the excess/unused space created by the unnecessarily larger covers.

The soft flexible ones are becoming tougher to find. Some are clearer/some are cloudier. I don't like this type as much, but they do work best for the really soft pennants. Trying to cram the soft ones into a rigid holder is one of the more aggravating aspects of this hobby, and might even take a few days off your life.

For the really soft and thin material pennants, sometimes I make a slit down the center of the back side of the holder to allow me to use my fingers or a padded stick to help maneuver the pennant into the tip of the holder. While displayed, the slit isn't too noticeable for the larger pennants.

I finally found some of the super clear soft ones and bought enough to last my lifetime. Problem is, I can't remember where I got them.

You know my moth eaten 1951 NY Giants "Cinderella Boys"? That sucker DID take years of my life getting it into a rigid holder! :p

I take a clear soft one and cut the last 1-2 inches off of the wide end. I place the pennant in this one and then slide it in the rigid holder. Usually I just tap the bottom of the rigid one on the ground and the soft holder falls right into place. Also, its easy to take the pennant out as most of the stress is on the soft pennant holder and not the pennant itself.

My method for getting soft pennants in hard plastic holders: place the pennant on top of a hard holder, then slide both into a second holder as far as they will go. Pull the first holder out from underneath the pennant, then tap the second holder gently on the ground by the tip to move the pennant down the rest of the way.
