great pick up
:)

My only REA pickup this year. I've never seen another example and with a pair of future Hall Of Famers in Dizzy and Ducky I couldn't pass it up. Condition is rough but when an item is unique I am not so concerned about that.

It was eight years and hundreds of bids between wins so I am happy this AM!

Hack Wilson
Sean,
Great lot at a pretty good price. I noticed the abundance of modern game used bat cards. You may have enough to piece together the original bat they all came from! That would be cool! Congrats! Peace, Mike |

I was high bidder on the comprehensive Reds collection, but that went incredibly high (I felt) and tapped out at around Midnight. |

Where did my old friend Phillippe end up? Still kicking myself over this one nine months later.

Won both t210 Series 7 and the Series 5 groups. Very happy with the prices on all 3. A couple really neat handcut examples with oversized borders are included in these which I'm anxious to be able to have a look at in person.

Picked up the Cuban lot!

My favorite lot, that I was the only bidder on:
http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/...x?itemid=34227 http://www.nhregister.com/general-ne...ow-a-curveball New Haven Register article was pointed out to me by my friend Bob Richardson--thanks Bob! |

That's a nice one Jay. There are only 5-10 examples of Goldsmiths autographs known and that one is more detailed than the others I have ever seen. You got a great deal!

............... and another successful net54/T210 winner - Series 1. Very happy with price. Especially like the little disproportionate fellow lower right !!!

Brian, Scott, nice wins. Good to see a few board members pick those up. Brian those two cards are very interesting please do post single scans of those once you have them if you dont mind. I was a underbidder on 3 of the lots. Just not enough funds to make a winning play. Congrats everyone.

I went after the Bobby Mathews KBatz but someone slipped one by me while I was sleeping. Congrats to the winner.

Reds Collection....

Sean, Agreed $40 per was a steal. Speaking of "Reds" did you notice: LOT 691: Extremely Rare 1971 Topps All-Star Rookie Artist's Proofs Bernie Carbo that went for $12,000!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Holy Cow! A world record also for a PSA 8 Mikan 1948 Bowman Rookie in at $16,800 with commission! Incredible auction as always. Take care, Mike |
Lot 156: 21/30 Cards from E94 Set
Whoever won this lot, if you want to break up the partial set I have an interest in buying a few cards in it. Please send me a private message. If anyone on the board knows who won the lot it would be appreciated if you could pass along their contact info if appropriate. Thanks and congrats to all the winning bidders.

I threw out a ton of bids
and only walked away with a lot of two Turkey reds. Probably threw out close to 100k in early bids and only spent $700 plus bp. I was outbid before yesterday on all but two lots than lost one of those early yesterday. i had alll my top bids in so I did not have to wait up. Prices seemed pretty good to strong on what i bid on have not looked at the auction as a whole yet. anyone else have thoughts on strength of prices overall.

Not baseball cards but two pick ups of mine. I dont know the reasoning why the Feller was slabbed???? The Barnum and Bailey Poster is large and I was fortunate to be the only bidder

Happy to win the Cobb Oxford Confectionery and the Orange Border Mathewson.

The Uzit and Lenox Cobbs did well

I don't know enough about the big time backs and high 1/1 T206. However, the "basic" T206's seemed to go above market. The near set of 519, to me, went notably high. |

I've been distracted by "the Monster" and have been dormant with my press pins. A late last minute bid paid off!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):)

Ty Cobb with the Ty Cobb back did well also I figured that Wagner would go higher go figure
|
I thought the Wags...Cobb/Cobb...Plank...sold where they should have. The Fred Photo Ruth is hot these days...tremendous returns on that one the last few years. My consignments did ok...no windfalls...but made a little.
A whole lotta 3 stooges shit seemed to sell for beaucoup bucks! |

2 fold on the '53......it looks even better and more protected in the slab and it also authenticates the item (which is duplicated quite a bit unfortunately). It looks incredible! The Circus Baseball poster is incredible as well. Very rare! Thanks for sharing! Mike |

N310 Mayo uncut strip. I sold this last fall in Heritage, regretted it ever since, and bought it back last night:
http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...0Uncut%201.jpg The fact that I got it back for 28% less than I sold it for is icing on the cake. |
I figured Wagner at 1.5 and Plank at 50 but I was wrong

Glad to finally pick this color variation up, it has been very difficult to find in any condition. This makes 5 of the 6 Cobbs acquired, one more to go :D

Great stuff, y'all. That n172 Kelly port is sharp. Tom C., I think I have the same photo of the 1931 Buffs. Great photo. Wasn't expecting it, but I managed the J Wood cabinet. Fun auction.
