Introduction and Question about Condition - 1957 Topps Frank Robinson
2 Attachment(s)
Hi, my name is Alan. I am new to the forum. I used to collect as a kid in the early 90s and I got back into the hobby a year ago and I am having the time of my life. I collect vintage (50s, 60s, 70s) and modern cards. Some of my favorite players are Frank Thomas, Hank Aaron, Jose Abreu, Roger Maris. I am a lifelong White Sox fan as well.
My question at the moment is when there is an indentation on a card (top right border in the the attached pictures of the 1957 Topps Frank Robinson card). How much will this indentation devalue the card? I know a wrinkle can knock a card down all the way to VG/Ex condition, so I am not sure if this is considered the same thing or would not be treated as harshly. I am also curious how much this card is worth given that it still appears to look pretty nice and the card is centered pretty nicely as well. I would appreciate your input. Thank you in advance! |
I would say that a surface indent/dimple normally pushes cards that go to PSA down to an EX-MT 6 or below. Welcome to the board; nice card!
