Reminds me of my favorite bit of baseball trivia.

Ott died in a car accident on November 21 (1958).

Also on November 21:

Carl Hubbell died in a car accident (1988).

Stan Musial was born in Donora, PA (1920).

Ken Griffey, Jr. was born in Donora, PA (1969).

That's eerie! The Ott record that is pretty unimaginable is that he led the Giants in home runs 18 years in a row. Wow!

Thanks for sharing! I was there a couple of years ago, but wasn't aware that he was buried there.

My first job (summer after high school) was mowing the lawns at Metairie Cemetery. Brutal labor. Nice cemetery though. I hadn't been back in a long time, but we buried my grandfather there last year.
