c. 1900 (1890 – 1910) mask with "hooked cage" and small pads fastened with wires. The protruding section on the bottom is a throat protector, but missing padding. In this fair condition, with padding missing, looking at about $100.

It's desirable in that it's a pre-weld model. Meaning all of the joints are adjoined by clips or curved wire (as opposed to welded). This places it at turn of the century, or perhaps a bit earlier. Plus, the headstrap appears to be complete and in tact (often loose or missing). The cage is in great shape, and the elongated chin protector also adds value. It's a desirable style...

On the down-side, 2 pads appear to be missing. One of the lower jaw pads and the pad that would have rested against the chin, at the bottom. In addition, there was likely an internal strap that rested against the forehead. The fact that this is missing is common, and not as big a deal.

So because of the missing components, it won't be worth as much as a complete/pristine example. If complete and in excellent condition, it's a $400 - $450 Mask. As it is, I would estimate $150 - $175.

You can try to find replacement pads for it (I have a jaw pad that might be a perfect match) and the wire to attach it. But you'd still need to find the lower chin pad. You can always buy a cheap/best up mask just for the needed parts. Simply depends on whether you are keeping or selling, and how much time/effort you're willing to expend.

Hope this is helpful.

Joe beat me to the punch... Sorry for the redundancy, athough I'd value it a tad higher.

At second glance, I can see the head-strap appears detached towards the right. Paid the price once again for being long-winded. :o
