Not baseball related but I was looking for opinions.
I'm fortunate enough to own two unused season tickets for the Hartford Whalers final season ticket book. I've got one up for sale haven't had a whole lot of interest from people. I figured that obviously it will have to be a crazy CT person / Whalers fan who'd like to own this.
Is there people out there who collect defunct team items such as this ? I think that this could easily be worth what I'm asking but interested in your thoughts ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/221744704169...84.m1555.l2649 |
People collect everything. Value will be determined by the demand side of the equation for that item. Good luck....

As of two weeks ago, Whalers shirts were available in the gift shops @BDL so you never know. However, a nostalgic Hurricanes fan may enjoy them more.

I love collecting St. Louis Browns, Seattle Pilots and Whalers stuff!

I know a guy who would LOVE that piece.
I will mention it to him. |
Thanks

Selling tickets are a strange proposition......
I have several uncut sheets of these "phantom" World Series tickets that were printed in anticipation of the Phillies
winning the NL Championship in 1964. In the 1970's and the 1980's these tickets were selling for a nice price. Nowadays, I probably cannot give them away. http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...phillietix.jpg TED Z . |
I have one of these phillies ticket sheets also, Ted. I got it at the 1st card show I ever attended in Sept., 1977.

I actually have a bunch of unused tickets to the Washington Diplomats soccer team from the 70's and I have wondered what the heck to do with them. For now they sit in an old scrap book.
Good luck selling the Whalers tix. |
