REA Catalog: A Critique

Who am I to judge a great auction catalog...but....

Mine arrived yesterday (NC). It did not have a magnet. Seemed like it had been on Jenny Craig weight reduction. Too much 3 Stooges left-overs.

But....it still did smell great!!

batsballsbases 04-04-2015 07:29 AM

Mine came to. Also no magnet!

Bigb13 04-04-2015 07:53 AM

Never received mine

ullmandds 04-04-2015 08:00 AM

i also have not received mine yet...ill check the office today...BUT...I'm glad to see the catalog appears slimmer. For me the huge, heavy catalogs are a real pain in the ass to read in the bath tub!

Got mine yesterday. If it went on a diet it didn't lose much. Great tribute to our/my dear friend too, Jim B...

pawpawdiv9 04-04-2015 12:55 PM

no magnet here, unless its inside the plastic somewhere.

yanksfan09 04-04-2015 12:58 PM

Mine just came today, gotta love that smell.

Stonepony 04-04-2015 01:20 PM

Mine has not arrived....and you can't get enough 3 stooges!!

oldjudge 04-04-2015 01:50 PM

Where is the tribute to Jim B? I looked through my catalog twice and couldn't find it?

I can't find it either. And I looked twice also. What page is it on? Are there two versions of the catalog?

x2drich2000 04-04-2015 02:19 PM

I believe it was with the Vic Willis back run.

JimB

JimB had a great collection and was a really modest guy. One time he messaged me on here about a woodcut I had posted and I thought, "wow, Holy-Cow, JimB is asking about something in MY collection?, must be good."

mrvster 04-05-2015 09:11 PM

he loved

the errors and ghosts/scraps......

our community lost a great guy altho I didn't know him well...all I hear is great stuff about him....would be an honor to own one of his cards...

ullmandds 04-06-2015 11:04 AM

It arrived today...I like the size..it's perfect!
