PSA Set Registry Oops ! - Kelly's Chips
3 Attachment(s)
Do you think PSA (or SGC) should remove a scan of a card which is certainly a mistake from their Registry?
Someone pointed this out to me, they are very rare. But when confronted with the real deal what do you think they should do? 1969 Kelly's Potato Chip football cards are very tough. Unfortunately, this Sayers slipped through PSA. Many are typically found with a factory miscut (skewed) and properly graded Authentic in my case by SGC. How does a 1/2 of a sticker (the football portion) get an EX? |
Hi Carl. Definitely a mistake (and a bad one at that). I personally think in mistakes like above, the scan should be removed from the registry. While it is a treat to see an example from a rare issue like the Kelly's, giving people the idea that a cropped and trimmed example grades in EX propagates misinformation about the issue into the hobby.

Send them an email to info@psacard.com ; I just sent them one based on their registry POP 1 of a 1911 Topps Manny Trillo. Pretty sure neither Topps nor Manny Trillo were around in 1911.

Can you name any other sets from the 1960s where a complete checklist hasn't been published? It's amazing that all have not been checklisted !!
