Another Fake Negro League Photo on E-Bay
 

I e-mailed the seller on this one, he thanked me for my input but barely changed the listing. Still gives the impression that the piece is authentic.

At least no Net 54 members should waste their money on this fake. I even gave him the correct year of the team photo but he did not make that change either.

That is actually not a bad looking fake, from the back of it :). Is the graininess of the photo the easy giveaway for you?

It's the spider-veins throughout the upper portion of the photo. I owned an example of that photo at one time, bought it on e-bay for around $350, sent it to PSA for authentication because I questioned it and it came back as fake. Never was able to recoup my money from the seller either. Chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned and I sure did from that point on, never got stuck with another fake again.
