The Last Card

Heinie Zimmerman
A baseball player who now wears the number 524. The last card in the T206 set. Much could be said about Heinie. From his infamous home plate rundown in the 1917 World Series to being indicted for bribery and eventually his banishment from baseball. It seems that Heinie had his struggles in baseball, just like a printing company had their struggles with producing a Heinie Zimmerman T206. So here is a T206 tribute to Heinie. "The Great Zim" or the last card. Enjoy Jantz |
He also was a Triple Crown winner.

Jantz, nice collection of oddballs.

........ can't find source, but this runs through my mind often:
"Heinie Zim, Heinie Zim, chasing Collins home. I'm a faster man you are, Heinie Zim" "Who the hell was I supposed to throw to, Klem?" |
What I want to know ... why is he wearing red fingernail polish on his righ thand (and none on his left)?
|
It is blood from his tenacious grip on the bat.
Edited to add: Fun group of cards Jantz, thanks for posting them. Quote:

Plus his left hand has no fingernails to put the polish on.
Great group of cards. Steve B |

Look at my pretty Heinie.

Hiney....:)
Since there are so many ghosts and shifts, is the common version of this card actually worth more than these beauties? :D
Cool cards Jantz, Peace, Mike |
