Two Teds, No Waiting

1 Attachment(s)
Since I don't collect this particular set, I have 2 separate 1954 Topps Ted Williams #1 available for trade. The first one is from the recent and much ballyhooed 1954 set break and (I realize this is awful salesmanship, but at least I'm honest...) I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would ever pay to have such a low condition card graded. It's in rough shape, an SGC 30.

The second one is in nicer shape, but as you can plainly see it has all sorts of centering issues...

In return, I'm primarily looking for ungraded Teddies I need for my sets -- 1957 and 1958 Topps.

But I'm also open to other things, especially this type of stuff:
• HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's
• Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente & Mickey Mantle cards
• 1958 Topps HOF'ers
• Errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's
• 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually all HOF'ers in nice shape)
• 1966-67 Topps high number SP's
• T-206's
• 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1972-73 OPC Hockey starter set
• 1962 Topps 'green tints' graded 7, 8 and higher
• 1963 Fleer BB HOF'ers in exmt or better shape

I'm only in interested in trading, not selling. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

I don't understand why collectors / dealers get low / poor condition cards graded too. Then when it comes back with a low grade, they complain the card was undergraded!

Is the non graded one trimmed?

It measures out correctly.

There can be a purpose to slabbed cards in lower grade, IMHO. I buy mainly mid-to lower grade online (I like PSA 3's from the 1950's as long as they don't have major creases and retain eye-appeal) and a slab for a card that still can command more than a few bucks even in lower grade helps to set my mind at ease on exactly what I am buying. I don't know that I would pay to have raw cards in lower grade slabbed from my own collection just for the heck of it, but I don't mind them.
