Gee, it's not at all deceiving to surround the nodder with Brooklyn Pennants and even to place one in his hand.... How convenient!
The sad thing is that someone a bit less seasoned and more impressionable will probably buy this. I am 99% sure that the hand originally held one of those "Tied Handkerchiefs" on a stick. Hobos like this were big in the '60s, and were portrayed in cheap paintings, bed sheets, underwear, pajamas.... virtually everywhere. This is almost certainly a generic Hobo Nodder, magically transformed into a baseball piece. :mad: |
They have been selling those for years. No telling how many they have.

Just a generic piece like others have mentioned with no ties to the Dodgers whatsoever. Like Perezfan said, nice props in the background.

I don't believe the nodder is a fake, I just don't believe it has any direct ties to the Dodgers. It is probably vintage, but post Brooklyn.
