Rare Sets Under $500 a Card
1 Attachment(s)
I'm looking to add a few rarer issue type cards this year. While doing my research on the various sets I figured it could be a good topic to start. So, here's the question to everyone.
What are some rarer issue sets everyone likes? I'll start with the T215 Red Cross. Attachment 178662 |

D303...I love these cards...and Louisianian cards kick ass!

1914 and 1918 Zeenuts are both extraordinary.

Are Type 1 Red Cross' more challenging to find that Type 2 Red Cross?
Here's one I own with a wacky mishap on the name/city line. Toledo missed the mark by a bunch... Too much space and dropped a line... They wanted to put Philly in there, but just dropped Toledo very sloppily. |
I think type I used to be considered tougher than type II Red Cross...but I'm not sp sure...they're both quite tough!!!
I think type I may be more desirable as the type is more t206 like!!! |
Personally I have seen quite a few more type 2 Red Crosses than type 1's.
As a type card collector I can safely say there are a ton of rare sets where a type card can be had for $500 or less. You can get a nice type card from D303 for $500 or less, though maybe not Chase or a Hall of Famer... http://luckeycards.com/pd303generalandmothers2x.jpg |
T213 Coupon Type-2 is inexpensive, but the Type-1s and Type-3s are more expensive.
|
Per the combined PSA & SGC population reports, for whatever they are worth, the T215 Type 1s and Type 2s are roughly equal in scarcity.
