Thoughts on Prices Realized at Goldin Auctions

Lots of championship rings were sold this weekend at Goldin Auctions.

Any thoughts on the prices realized?

Did anyone here win any championship rings?

No.

Some items went very high, others quite low.

The AJ Burnett ring went lower than some front office rings go for. Yes, it was a second ring, but, come on, it's an AJ Burnett real Yankee ring.

The Giants Super Bowl 46 ring also went low.

Goldin achieved amazing numbers on the Jamal Lewis ring, considering he was not a player on that team that year and the Spygate ring did very well too.

Ken works very hard to promote his auctions, and does a fantastic job. In no way do I feel a low price or two is a reflection on Ken and his staff.

What are second rings?

The auction stated that the Burnett ring was a "second ring" Burnett had made.

It is identical to his original ring. He could have made it for a relative, close friend or his agent.

Ken did a great job alerting the community it was a second ring,

not sure if every single auction house would have done the same thing, certainly Coaches Corner comes to mind!
