I purchased this Spalding Baseball advertisement. I was wondering if anyone could give me any details or information about it (authenticity, age, etc.) Thanks for the help.

The paper , the print quality etc.. its hard to explain how to spot fake paper items but I think there should be some articles on the forum if you search it. Did you pay a lot?

I saw it at the Scott Antique show - it is indeed a reproduction of (most likely) a catalog page. The materials are artificially aged, as is usually the case. I gave my opinion to the dealer, for what it's worth. Sorry!

These have been placed on Ebay for years and they are made to deceive. Only reason I know is because I got suckered myself years ago. I report them to Ebay every chance I get.
