Interesting......

First time out and has two seemingly high grade ungraded cards:

No red flags here.

If the Babe Ruth isn't graded, why is it in an SGC holder?

steve B 02-01-2015 09:29 AM

Nice catch! I had to blow it up to 200% to spot the edge of the holder in the back scan.

I'm not sure it's SGC instead of PSA against a black background, but it's in some sort of holder.

John,

This description of the Ruth kind of muddies the situation:

"It's A very nice card It has always been keep in a case. It is not graded but if it was it would grade between a 8 or 9. If you have any more questions just ask."

The back scan of the Robinson shows it is graded as well

I'm new to pre-war cards, so let me see if I understand the scam here...

The dude pulled real scans off the net of graded cards. Posts them as his and says they are ungraded. When the buyer receives the cards, they are not the ones pictured, but instead are fakes. Is that right?

This seller must be Wil E. Coyote...

Isn't that the 144 Ruth?

Yes, that is one possible (likely, even) scenario.

Listings gone. Seller probably got axed, and rightfully so.
