all star press pin value?
I saw this 1941 all star press pin for sale on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/151539751594...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. I happen to have one of these at home. It's not really worth over a thousand dollars, is it?

I am not a press pin guy but unless there is something extraordinary we are unaware of, that price being asked seems high, from what I remember other pins I see , of this genre, sell for. I guess it's worth what someone is willing to pay. I have a few several thousand dollar items that I will lose a few k on when I sell them. I wanted them enough to pay all the money regardless of future resale value. So if someone that has the means can't live without something (like this pin), then badda-bing-badda-boom. Here are a few other pins, just for grins.:D
btw, the seller has some other great press pins too so I am sure he knows more than most of us... http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?item=...fan2005&_sop=3 http://luckeycards.com/ppunc1900smid...pspencer3x.jpg |

http://www.legendaryauctions.com/Lot...ntoryid=162986 $4000+
http://www.legendaryauctions.com/Lot...entoryid=75830 $3800+ Second year press pin.........and first from Balfour or that type of manufactured press pin. 1938 was the first year and it was a 'normal' celluloid pin/pinback from the AS game in Cinci. Neat item and looks to be underpriced if previous results are all square. |

Wow, thanks. Just shows you never know. Maybe I ought to put mine up for auction ...

It's about $300 to much. It has been listed at that price quite a few times, with no hits

I contacted the seller and he was kind enough to explain that the pin would probably sell on eBay for "somewhere in the $700-1000" range" but that he priced it higher figuring anyone actually interested would contact him with lower offers.
