For those that don't know him personally Levi Bleam (707Sportscards) is one of the nicest guys in the hobby. Each year for the past few years he has sent me a calendar. I thought some folks might enjoy seeing some of these calendar bathing beauties.... You guys might know of few of these geezers....

That calendar looks amazing and reminds me of the joys this hobby can bring. I only wish his prices were as kind as his demeanor.

I know I know....He is a tough cookie to deal with but I have made a few buys from him. He certainly has a lot of Topps inventory!!

Agree, Leon. A great guy and devoted family guy. I have dealt often with him. I have found him flexible and fair on prices for non graded cards, which is what I collect. Always friendly and helpful with hobby advice, and when I order from him he sends me the cards for review before payment ( a history obviously helps there).

But, I only got a family Holiday card :)

I've been told I am the correct weight if I was 9'6" :D

Levi is awesome.

With the prices he pays me for cards he could not be much cheaper and make a profit. I have no problem with his asking prices as he always pays me top dollar when I sell him anything. I have problems with people that want to pay 10% of retail and then when selling want 125%. He and Jimmy are the most knowledgable team in the hobby and a lot of fun to boot. PS I can not believe the beautiful young woman A.J. Firestone's daughter has become.

Griffins 01-09-2015 08:50 AM

Agreed with Glyn. Levi pays fairly when buying, and like when he sells, there is no back and forth, just name a price and the deal is done.

Rich Klein 01-09-2015 09:48 AM

IIRC == A.J's daughter won the National Punt Pass and Kick competition.

If you really want a laugh, you tube Andrew Ried in his 1971 (or so) effort

Who the hell are those two folically challenged guys working for Kruk Cards in the upper left photo?

frankh8147 01-09-2015 10:35 AM

Thanks Levi!

One of my favorite hobby memories was driving to his office a few years ago (I think I was 18 at the time) and making a deal to buy/trade for a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53. That was one of my first pre-war cards, and is still my favorite card!

I can't tell you how many times people came up to us and started talking about the deals they had done with us.....not knowing we weren't even the Kruk Card guys (who were on the other side of their banner....) ..Next time Scott and I need to make sure we aren't under someone else's name. They (Kruk card guys) seemed like nice folks though.

I look forward to getting Levi's calendar every year--This picture is from last years. I go back maybe 30 years with Levi, He used to come up to New England and do some of the better shows in the 80's. (He still does the Greater Boston show--Best show in New England) I always enjoy talking with him--His Mother and my Father went to school together in Penna. He took a bunch of us out in his Cigar boat when we did the National in Baltimore. What a blast---I think he broke the speed record in the bay.
