Vote for Your Favorite Post of the Year....
since we are winding down the year, what's your favorite thread in 2014??
I'm still thinking......:) |
The Joe Jackson thread
|
I really liked that one about t206's.
|
Jeff:
Just did a quick search looking for your T206 thread, came up with 4,516 matches during 2014. Can you be more specific........... |
Being Specific
heh
|
My favorite post is the one in which Leon banned Kevin Quinn, and also attached the word "idiot" to Kevin's name.

I don't have a single Cuban or Negro League item in my collection, but I found this thread (about some mysterious Cuban cards started back in March by member Scocs) quite fascinating and informative ...
What's the real deal with these Cuban cards? And to a lesser extent, but related content, this recent thread started by Phil Garry was interesting and had it all: a high dollar eBay auction, a cool RPPC, drama, a post or two from Leon [hi, Leon! ;) ], bid retraction accusations, ice cream, forgiveness, and an informative post from Josh Leland... Negro League Postcard on E-Bay |

Any comiskey thread

Leon's Saco River Auctions " Deadbeat" rant. So over the top, instant classic

best post by far
My favorite had to be the one about the old cards and the collecting angles of the members on here and the different varieties of cards and the complaints and stuff.
Damn.....where did that post go......hmmmmm.... aka: I like 'em all! happy holidays, mike |
The recent NL PC thread was one of the more informative ones but I would have to go with the post on Canadian Post cereal cards in the postwar forum. Absolutely fascinating stuff, far more facets than I thought the issues ever posed.

Anything Adrian!

My vote for Post of the Year would have to be board member MikeGarcia advising our new board member Armystrong7979 to call Dan M. at midnight to inquire about purchasing a 1998 SP Authentic Peyton Manning rookie.

This Lash's Bitters thread. Didn't solve the t206 sheet mystery but produced quite a few puzzle pieces.

Favorite thread was the " Show us some postcards threads " . But the most memorable was the Cuban cards on EBay thread even though I didn't understand what was going on . And for honorable mention is the " Babe Ruth images thread . So many great ones it's too hard to pick .
|
I like the ones where S____ and B____ go at it! Guilty pleasures, for sure.
|
So many good threads to choose from. Tough to narrow it down, but I do really dig the T206 Doppelgangers (and have more to post).
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...=doppelgangers As someone with a new interest in Louisiana cards I also liked the recent discussion about T216 Kotton. |
