An open letter to the forum

Good morning,

Since joining the forum in November, I have been having a blast! Leon really does a great job in keeping the forum running smoothly. The community here seems very knowledgable and willing to help each other out with their collections. This is very refreshing to see.

I have had a 43 year love affair with baseball cards. It is nice to finally sow some of these oats right here. I want to thank everyone for making me feel very welcomed and for all of the information and help I needed. I look forward to a long stay and many posts. There is much I would love to share and learn about.

I would also like to note, this is my 100th post, a milestone!

Bright blessings,

Tom Reed

This.

I remember not long ago reading that this forum was pretty slow comparatively. While I love my pre-war board, obviously, and I will be over there a lot with the start of the new year, I have rediscovered the absolute joy that vintage collecting gives me, and being able to share my little cards is an honor, and a treat.

I've said it many times. This is my favorite place on the internet. It's wonderful talking to all you fine folks, and seeing the cards you add to your collections serves as an inspiration to me.

I enjoy the hobby greatly. I enjoy the people here in our hobby. And I want to help people who are returning to the hobby. I want to help people feel welcome, and share the knowledge I have gained here. I think that will help people avoid making the mistakes that so many have made. The hobby can be safer if we decide to make it so. When I finally get my site up sometime this next year, that is my goal.

Tom and Jason, I look forward to many years of talking to you both. :)

Bill

I have been here longer, but remember well when I first happened upon it. The one thing better than collecting for me is sharing the many stories (writing mine and reading others) that are shared here. I have learned so much and hopefully have offered information that others have learned from. Gotten virtual high fives and accolades after finding an obscure or elusive item I picked up when the thought of sharing with most people I come in contact with daily would go unappreciated. Thank you one and all for an amazing resource and a memorable part of my collecting hobby.
