William "Yank" Robinson had his best season in 1887. Robinson batted .305 with a .445 OBP, 74 RBIs, 32 doubles, 75 stolen bases with
the St. Louis Browns of the American Association. Yank batted .326 with 15 Hits in the 1887 World Series.

I don't have a scan available, but the only Buchner I have is Ed Beecher, because he was the only player from the 1887 Pittsburg Alleghenys that isn't in the N172 set.

I'm not sure if this card is from the Buchner set. If someone could let me know one way or another if it is or isn't. Thank you in advance for any information on it.

My favorite baseball related N284 is Von der Ahe. His card actually closely resembles what he looks like.

Fred, yes indeed, its the only portrait card and the only card of an owner.

N284's are a great way to add some nice HOF cards from 1887 which may be out of my price range from other period sets....
