Vintage Holiday & Christmas Cards
6 Attachment(s)
The holiday season is a magical time that seems to arrive quicker every year. Christmas cards have been warmly offered as season's greetings between families and friends for centuries. Many vintage Christmas cards are absolutely beautiful and one's spirituality can be sparked just by looking at them.
I'm a White Sox collector and wanted to share with you Christmas cards from a few Chicago White Sox, circa 1961. Here's wishing everyone a joyous Holiday Season! Bob |

Reviving this thread to share these Al Demaree drawn Christmas cards.
A member posted a different Demaree card in the "All I want for Christmas..." thread, and another member expressed an appreciation for Demaree's art, which I also really like. So....enjoy! |

Bumping this great thread up to the top because the holiday season is coming soon. ;)
I recently picked up another addition to my collection of no-hit pitcher Christmas cards. This one is from HOF'er Jim Catfish Hunter who threw a perfect game on 5/8/68 @ Oakland. |
HOF Bob Feller signed and inscribed Christmas card

Pumping some life into this holiday favorite of mine.
Here is a recent pickup of mine for my no-hit pitcher Christmas card collection. HOF Bob Feller is not only a three time no-hit pitcher, but for many years he is also was the most famous resident of Gates Mills, OH. This Christmas (Holiday) card is from 1980 and was sent to another resident (presumably Feller's physician) of Gates Mills that was moving to CA. Have any of you picked up any cool Christmas or holiday cards that you would like to share? Show 'em if you got 'em! ;):D Happy holidays! |

Allie Reynolds and Steve Barber Christmas cards
4 Attachment(s)
Thanks to net54 board member Jeff Garfinkel I was able to add two more no-hit pitcher Christmas cards to my collection.
Great timing too as they arrived on Christmas Eve! ;) Anyway, here is a 1983 Christmas card from "Superchief" Allie Reynolds. In 1951 Allie Reynolds, a NY Yankees RHP was the first pitcher after Johnny Vander Meer to toss two no-hitters in a single season. Of additional note, Reynolds added info about the recent passing of his long-time wife Darlene. The other Christmas card is from Steve Barber that threw a combo no-hitter with Stu Miller in 1967 while they were playing for the Baltimore Orioles. Happy holidays! |
