I don't think I could handle conversion from metric to inches on a monday.:D

My money would say trimmed...the top edge likely...maybe all 4...but the moustache def does not look trimmed!

could I then reschedule my appointment to Thursday or Friday?

In dentistry millimeters are all that matter!!!!!

2 5/8 inches is 6.6675 cm

It measures correctly then, and you're thinking it was oversized originally? Top left corner looks a bit feathery, tough call on this one. Sorry to make you show the titus but the front view I find is easier to tell from.

My Titus has a similar cut.

Econteachert205 10-13-2014 11:43 AM

This one has a similar cut as well, I've seen others too.

Titus

interuptus....

speaking of things in terms of millimeters makes me feel better :-)

Back to the question it looks like it *might* be trimmed to me when putting the chipping distress in the lower corners in context with regard to the bottom edge. I would take a loupe and a STRONG light and compare all of the edges to each other when looking from the side. I think it's all about how YOU feel about the card. If it doesn't keep you up at night I suggest it's all good. Without the proper tools and experience - sloppy trimming easy to spot - expert trimming not so much.

Apparently a couple of examples have been posted with similar centering since I went to post. I did not use the centering in my evaluation. I've only owned a few hundred T206's which I understand is nothing in the scheme of things. With ANY card - unless I can't or won't find another - it's a pass when I feel too great a % of discomfort. Maybe this is a case where a TPG would provide real (or imagined) personal peace.

Possibly oversized and trimmed to size? The cut doesn't bother me as much as the sharp corners:)

This is one of those rare times that I feel tpg's(SGC or PSA) are of value. Submit and see if it comes back with evidence of trimming. Good looking card eitherway.

That is what I will do.

I picked it up at a card show this weekend. I'm not really a T206 collector, so I will be selling it.

I hope it comes back with a number. You should do well if it does because it's a hot card and a tough one to find in the condition that yours is in. You could also leave as is and provide measurements and better scans and put it on the bay with a high bin and see what happens.
