July 10, 1983
My dad took me to my first game on July 10, 1983. We saw the Twins beat the Indians 6-4 at the Metrodome. I came across the ticket stubs recently and looked up the box score. Through eBay and some TTM requests, I got signed cards of all the players that played in the game, both managers, and all four umpires. I had them mounted with the stubs and a copy of the box score. Here is the result:http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps908e2e63.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps824d6f15.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps6ed711c9.jpghttp://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps5698e269.jpg
I'm going to give it to him for Christmas. Hope he likes it! |
That is super cool. I am sure he will be pleased.

They look great Jim!!

That was a great idea. Wish I had thought of it before all the guys in my first game started dying.

What a great idea and it looks fantastic
|
Very nice piece...I'm sure he will love it!

Very nice. I'm working on the same thing slowly with my first game as well http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...98208150.shtml

Now that is a great idea!

Thanks everyone! It was a fun project and a great way to get introduced to the autograph hobby. Even more fun will be giving it to Dad and seeing his reaction!
|
Awesome idea. I'm sure he will cherish it as you cherish the experience.

Pretty neat. I saw my first major league game the next month, August 20, 1983, Angels at NYY.
