I happen to root for them as long as they aren't playing my Red Sox

welcome Matt! Nice to see another young collector join the forum and, more importantly, the collecting community.

The '37 Goudey Thum Movies seem like they are becoming more popular these days...best of luck! Remember, it's not about the end-goal, it's about the journey. Even if you complete a set, you can always upgrade, so no collection is ever "complete".

Cheers, Derek

Welcome, Matt! I will echo Derek's sentiments. It's very nice to have another young collector joining the community. You guys are the future of this hobby, and it does my heart good to see young people not only getting into the hobby, but this niche.

Have you been to Fenway?

Welcome Matt and sorry about the slight road block on registration. One of the requirements is to have a good working phone number on file (it is never given out). However, since you gave a reference of your Dad an exception was made. We know where to find you now :). The few pieces of contact info that are required help keep the forum as safe as it can be (it will never be perfect). Welcome to the board and let me know if I can ever help.

Welcome aboard. Nice to see another fellow Goudey collector. Such great sets especially the 33 n 34 set. Hope to see the collection come together.

Wait. Who is this Matt kid? Just kidding. :)

But don't let him fool you. He's a hard core vintage collector (on a kids budget) with an eye for the good stuff.

From one younger collector to another, welcome! You will love it here. Happy hunting!

Welcome aboard, Matt. I believe you will find a great bunch here who are more than willing to share both their experience and their expertise...and, if pressed, their opinions. All are valuable and will help you on your journey.

I hope that you enjoy every minute of it.

I see that a couple of the guys have already provided a link to the oldcardboard site, but if you would rather have hard copy info as I do, I recommend the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards by Krauss Publications. You can get it from Amazon, etc.
