My only question is why do you want it authenticated? Do you want to sell it?
Do you want to have peace of mind that the item is real even when you know it is real , and if it is real today it will be real in the future . Only playing the devil's advocate here to maybe save you some money.
By the way it is a beautiful Mantle piece with a great signature.

Thanks for the replies. I would like to keep it in my collection if it's real. So, Authentication would be for peace of mind. But, judging from the responses I already have some peace of mind.

Looks great. Just curious: what brand of cap, and is it a fitted cap?

If its real? :confused: You should have total piece of mind not some. Dont spend the money.but if you do.
I will bet you double or nothing that what ever company you send it to. It will come back authentic.
