I hope that everyone who already made their picks of which team will beat which other team in the Series, checked back and saw the additional cards to be had for coming closest to the total number of runs scored by both teams in the Series.
Well, I am adding still more 'enjoyment' - This time, you will need to guess exactly how many games including the 2 wild-cards, will make up this post season - it can be as few as 20 (all sweeps) or as many as 33. Closest guess win this portion. The deadline for this part of the RAFFLE is Friday, October 10 @ NOON ET - the day of the first NL League Championship Series game. So - to be clear, the deadline for THIS, the third tier, is actually earlier than the deadline for the previous tier. Please let me know if you don't understand my 'work'. Now, we all know that there are no Ties in Baseball, but we have one TY in this RAFFLE and he's back representing on the first of two cards the winner of this tier will receive. 1971 Topps- 1970 NL Playoffs - Game #3- Cline Scores Winning Run ! REDS 3 - PIRATES 2 Attachment 162702 And also going to the winner of this round, there HAS to be a World Series card given away, right? 1969 Topps - 1968 Series Game #4 - Cardinals 10 - Tigers 1 Attachment 162701 As with the previous tiers, members are allowed 2 guesses with no editing and the tie-breaker will again be the time-stamp of entries. Please be sure to contact me, Raymond 'Clydepepper' Culpepper, if you have any questions or concerns. Should you or any of your fellow Net54Baseball members get caught without the closest guesses, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Good Luck & PLAY BALL!! |

Error on my part!! Please read!!
In the original rules set out for this contest I've put together, I stated that no editing was to be allowed.
Well, I have been allowing one edit for members who chose unavailable matchup choices. I did this for two reasons, first to have as many matchups be winners as possible and secondly, I just forgot. There still is NO editing on the other 'rounds' If any of you participating have an issue with that, please let me know. I'm not sure what I can do at this point with a full-scale mutiny on my hands, but I will try to 'ease your pain.' Thanks for your understanding, Raymond |

One time reminder bump
** ERROR! ERROR! Look Out Will Robinson!
My directions are so confusing, they got me...again. The deadline for PART 2 - Guessing the Total Runs scored by both World Series Teams is 10/21 before World Series Game #1. - so the deadlines for PART THREE - Guessing the Total Number of Games Played to make up the Post-Season (which can be from 20 to 43) is Friday, 10/10 at Noon ET. and PART 4 -Guessing the Total Number of Strikeouts by both Series participants is TUESDAY, 10/21 and the end of World Series Game #1.[/B] I will bump this thread one last time on October 20 (the day before both remaining deadlines & Mickey's birthday). |
