Jimmy Foxx uniform in '39 Exhibit
 

Wondering what the reason was behind so many of the cards from that set are lacking in discernible uniform characteristics. I would guess that it had something to do with a MLB written consent....agreement.

Any insight as to why the logos are missing, how they were removed, or what jersey is Jimmy Foxx wearing...(Boston or Philadelphia) would be greatly appreciated.

The company routinely removed logos whenever it could. I suppose it had to do with licensing fees. You can see it in the original artwork. Like here where the company whited out the W on Speaker's sleeve:
