Babe Ruth
Haiguys!
Found this baseball while thrifting- the thrift ship owner said he got it signed himself back in the day- What do you fellas think? I think i can get millions. Rare. http://anony.ws/i/2014/09/15/image.jpg |
In a word....ridiculous.
|
It's a CC special. But even their stuff usually wouldn't have a "Los Angeles Dodgers" stamp on a ball that was supposedly signed by a guy that died 10 years before the team even existed.

He's not mad. He is more annoyed that people post stuff like this when even a beginner collector should know better.

Can't wait until someone buys a multi signed Selig ball from Roach's with Gehrig, Ruth, Wagner, Anson, Doubleday, Waddell, Delahanty and Jesus Christ himself...and it gets a two minute spot on the local tv station.

Given how obviously-fake the CC stuff is, don't most of you think that CC and their 'collectors' (those who buy from CC, and those who these buyers then sell to and buy from) are operating within their own little microcosm, everyone involved realizing what they are buying and selling? And if CC accidentally sells something to an 'outsider' (like a newbie on our forum), they just give a full refund and go back to work.
In other words, we're bitching about/laughing at, a bunch of people who are happy with what they are doing. Basically, it's all about having something on the mantel for soirees, or, if things go really super-good, hooking a live outsider who really thinks the item is real. |
