Was wondering if any other members attend Brimfield? I go every year, sometimes there's some pretty cool sports related things. Here's my find for the year two small uncut 1959 Fleer Ted Williams/ Three stooges overprint sheets with a Larry Card! Thanks to Barry for a great deal!

It always sounds like a good show to attend but havent ever made the trip myself...unfortunately :(. Hope to someday however.

http://video.pbs.org/video/2263105373/ Kind of a neat show from PBS: Market Warriors visiting the Brimfield Fair trying to resell items at auction for higher prices.

Sorry, it's right off the Massachusetts turnpike about 5 miles from old Sturbridge village.

For those in SoCal that remember The Groves in Irvine:

New location at Yorba Linda & State College at CSUF every first Sunday of the month starting tomorrow.

I didn't go this year I sometimes find that the prices are high on stuff. Slough still love going to explore. Next year I will

I go every year with my wife. This year I got a 66 Yaz transfer. Most year I get nothing. Things are usually overpriced. Fun show though

I really liked that show - even though the pickers lost money in almost every auction. Are there or will there be any new episodes or did it get canceled?

To each their own, but I hated that show. They were supposed experts but, as you say, they made terrible picks. And two of the four were really annoying....the old pony tailed dude and the southern chick. The kind of swishy guy and the new yorker(?) we're not quite as annoying but they all made terrible buys.

I kept waiting for the show to improve, but it never did.

I thought it was more authentic than other shows in the genre. Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Storage Wars - the staged items and over-the-top drama get old in a hurry.

I'm a huge fan of Pickers! The others, not at all. From what I've heard, the part where Mike and Frank roll up is staged but I also heard they truly have not seen the stuff before and they buy a LOT more than what is shown on the show. The collections/hoards they look at blow my mind. :p

+1. My dad was on it and I was there during the process.
