Cleveland Pictures collection: can you help
 

Trying to get a picture of every Tribe player from 1901-present. List is down to 8. I am hopeful someone here might be able to help. These can be photos, team pictures from a book, scan from newspaper, etc.

I am looking for Chick Sorrells who played for Decatur in 1922 and Greenville in 1923. The other hopeful is Jackie Gallagher who might show up in the NYPL in 1924 and with Crisfield in the Eastern Shore League in 1926.


Other names are Doc Hamann ( 1922-23), Jim Neher(1912) who have a newspaper picture of some sort, and SS Jim McGuire from 1898-1904. The other 3 are too obscure to worry about at this time.


Pictures obviously do not have to be with Cleveland. Just curious if anyone can help.

THX for the great response. Unfortunately I can't help with an id on the photo from the 1906-15(?) era. I tried to match with good individual photos I had from that time and had no luck.
I am not nearly as skilled as some of the guys on this site. Can any one help out??

I have thumbnail-sized, low-quality newspaper images of Gallagher, Hamann and Neher but haven't tracked the source down for any of them just yet. If you'll give me the names of the other three more obscure guys I'll be happy to see if I have anything for them.
