What's the record for...

Tommy John surgeries?

Tommy John himself had only one.

With today's news, Chris Medlen, Brandon Beachy, and Jonny Venters with have SEVEN collectively.

Are these doctors on commission or something?

By the way Tommy John is the second most mentioned baseball name...can you name the most mentioned?

I do not believe it is close. I'll check back to see if anyone gets this right...think not only outside the box, but outside the sport for your answer.

Who?

Who's on first.

Probably not right but best my feeble mind could think of as out of the box.

gawaintheknight 08-31-2014 05:36 AM

Lou Gehrig.

novakjr 08-31-2014 09:02 AM

cy young is probably the most mentioned.

WRONG! but nice effort.

Here's a tricky hint....pay attention...

He is a future Hall-of-Famer who won one batting title early in his career.

Cliff Bowman 08-31-2014 08:21 PM

Albert Pujols is a future Hall of Famer who won only one batting title early in his career, but I don't get it otherwise.

clydepepper 08-31-2014 09:19 PM

...and the answer is...

Not so fast...first, a few more clues...

First, remember that I stated that my first hint was a tricky one...

If you wanted to predict exactly who would be in the Hall-of-Fame five or six years from now, to try to as exact as possible, what list would you start with? He is on that list.

This player spent his entire career with one team. He played in one World Series and his team won that one. He played outfield.

Cliff Bowman 08-31-2014 09:51 PM

Al Kaline, but he's already in the HOF.

Econteachert205 08-31-2014 10:31 PM

Jose Rijo had it done 5 times... Someone had it done more than that?
