Need a bit of advice on a small collection
One of the guys in my stamp club offered me a small autograph collection I think they're all real, he was a volunteer at the New England Sports Museum for a while.
I've been trying to figure out if it's worth what he's asking. I figure I'd run the basic list by the group and see what you think. Most of the basketball are signed in ballpoint, the others are mostly sharpie. The NESM cards with +1 and +2 have extra signatures I can't read. I've got a good idea on the factory signed cards, but I'm not finding much for comparable stuff to figure out the value. Before I scan a bunch of it, is the lot worth $100? I offered a bit less, but he seemed pretty definite about the hundred. A bit under $3 each, but some seem to go really cheaply. I think the price is right if there are several signatures in there that you want for yourself, but if you are looking to flip for any significant profit it's going to be very hard and take a lot of time, not likely worth the effort.
