New Member from Missouri
 

Hello everybody! My name is Mark and I am from Southwest Missouri. Previously, my card collection has focused mostly on more modern cards, but over the last couple of years I've become absolutely fascinated with cards from the 50s and earlier. I've been reading through the site and it seemed like there was a lot of good information here, so I thought I'd join if I needed to ask some questions.

Other than card collecting, I also love art and watching the Royals.

Since you've begun looking at the older cards, have any in particular stood out to you? Have you begun collecting them yet?

Slowly been getting a few cards from each of the 1950s Topps sets at the local shops as I see them. I've really just been trying to learn as much about the sets before I start to buy or trade for very many cards. I really love the look of the "pre-photograph cards," including the T-206s.

Welcome aboard from yet another Missourian! As you can see my allegiance lies to the east with the Cardinals. Those darn Royals ruined a 12 year olds year back in 85!!

Looks like you guys are putting together a good run this year! I am all for a re-match!!

And I apologize for 1980. My beloved Phillies have only won the World Series twice in their 131 year existence...and one of those titles came against the Royals.
