OT Is there a net54 equivilant for pre-war coins?
My grandfather just handed me down his wheat penny books and there are several holes I'd like to fill.....I know some of you collect coins as well as cards. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I happen to collect coins as well as cards. Sadly, the closest thing I have recently found with numismatic acceptance is chess.com...seriously.
Good luck, and please let me know if you stumble upon a promising site. Best regards Eric |
I have looked at Collectors Universe a few times but I am not a big coin guy .

I dabble in coins, but usually with local collectors. Not much online.

Not like Net54, but I occasionally visit the NGC forum: http://boards.collectors-society.com...p?ubb=cfrm&c=4

Thanks, guys!

A pre-war coin-collecting forum seems like it would obviously need a daily post count limit on Adrian. ;)

OT- 1909 s vdb penny
My son came across one of the 1909 s vdb pennies recently.
They are apparently well sought after and can fetch upwards of 600 bucks... He's a 19yr old working for low wages... so to him, this is a major find of epic proportions!:p I read the story of the VDB pennies from SF mint. It is pretty cool and relates to how some of our beloved baseball cards become more valuable than others due to being short printed. |
