Where can I find a safe PSA group submission for T206's?

I always see BGS group submissions on Blowout, but I haven't seen any PSA group submissions. I haven't ever submitted cards for grading aside from 3 pre-war cards, which I did at a PSA booth at a card convention. Group submissions seem to be the cheapest and most convenient methods of grading for a novice submitter. I have about 10 T-206's I wanted to submit, so if any of you know of a reliable group submission for PSA please let me know!

PSA group submissions on blowout are usually ran every month you just got to look out for them.

I do PSA submissions as well, usually once a month. Since PSA kicked me off their forums, I can start bringing them here if you like? I am a member and they usually put out a special once a month involving vintage cards.

PSA-Groups

This sounds like something I could use. How would I go about getting the cards I want graded to the appropriate folks?

I joined PSA earlier this year and have had 37 cards graded, but it has been a financial burden.

I assume 'grouping' allows for the bulk rate?

Thanks, Raymond

Actually, the monthly specials are better than the bulk rate. Grouping is mainly a benefit for people who don't wish to become a member, and there is the added benefit of not having to pay the super high costs of shipping the cards back to you if you were to submit by yourself. A standard order of around 20-30 cards is around $30-$40 to ship back to you. I recently subbed a 131 card order, and I think it was around $70 for return shipping.

Yea, if you could bring them over here that would be cool. How much does it usually cost on average to grade a card with normal shipping?

The special last month was $7.25 for vintage per card and $7.00 for modern per card (the year 1956 was the break). You tack on $1 per card with me to help offset shipping to and from Cali....and then actual shipping cost back to you.....so basically around $8.00-$8.25 per card plus return shipping back to you.

Sounds great! Please let me know when you plan on doing your next group submission!

The $6.25 is slightly limiting because it is for cards valued less than $100, but I may be interested.

I also notice tallboys and pins are permitted. Do you have to do those a separate submissions? Do you know if t201 and t202 are tall boys or supersized?

bobbyw8469 08-01-2014 01:55 PM

Tallboys need to be on their own sub. You cant mix card groups ups. Pins need to be on their own subs. I dont usually do those, unless I have some going myself. I will check on the others for you. If you know the dimensions, that is what usually determines how they need to go.

So I can't submit any cards over $100?

I'll also jump in for about 5 or 6 cards. Please PM me details.

You need to be honest about the monetary evaluation of the cards when you send them in....The value is what PSA will pay you should they accidentally damage your cards. If you send in a $300 card, value it on the submission form as $99, would you be happy if PSA gave you a $99 check if they damage your card?? I know I wouldn't. I have seen cards a little higher than $100 go, but no Pete Rose rookies please!

Nothing is set in stone yet...I am just gauging interest for now.

I was never planning on lying about the value; I was just wondering if there was just an additional fee for cards over $100 or if it isn't possible at all.

It's not a big deal if you send in a $200 card on a $100 order. They will still grade it the same without any additional charge. As Bobby stated, they will only pay you what the claimed value is in the event of damage. Still, damage is relatively rare and I wouldn't hesitate to put cards that might be "borderline" in the bulk order.
