How does SBC know this is a #103 DS Dickey?

Could be the more common #11 Low Number.

Depending on which sheet didn't get the back printing.

I take it this is recently graded due to the strange looking label?

I do not follow 3rd party grading to keep up with the flip changes.

Its "SBC", not "SGC". Never heard of them.

Thi high # series 98-108 were only produced in 1936 and contained blue ink on the back and are very rare.

The diamond stars from 1934 and 1935 contained green ink on the reverse and only cards 1-97 were produced. Each year had updated stats.

Unable to tell from the front what year this card was produced.

The Dickey #11 was produced in 1934-36. Card #103 was only produced in 1936.

Fooled by that all white flip. :D It was a predecessor to SGC I think.

Rules that it seems all TPG's follow...when there is no conclusive evidence, label as the higher priced card. Another example of this would be Babe Ruth and his M101-4 and M101-5 cards...label as M101-5 because they were issued earlier, and thus will bring more money.

True. Probably a 25 year old slab.

I believe it was when TPG's first came into existence about 25 years ago. SBC was a TPG affiliated with a dozen or so dealers. These dealers were authorized to accept cards for grading. It seemed like a HUGE conflict of interest to me because I believe these dealers were also owners of the TPG. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
