RIP - Red Klotz (OT?)

Red Klotz passed away last week at the age of 93. He was the player-coach of the Washington Generals. His coaching record featured 6 wins and over 14,000 losses. The Generals played all their games against one opponent, the Harlem Globetrotters. Their last win was in January 1971. All things being equal, how many games should they have won?

According to this article the answer is about 6.;)

For those of you not familiar with fivethirtyeight, check it out.

Klotz, on the left below, was also the shortest player to play in an NBA championship game in his only year with the Baltimore Bullets 47-48

He was also a good autograph signer in the mail. I did not read the article, but I had heard of his passing last week. It was his idea to put the Generals forward as the hapless straight men for the 'Trotters. He was player/coach when he scored that winning basket to beat them in 1971. Not to be nitpicky, but the Bullets were members of the BAA at the time not the NBA. The NBA media machine would have you think that the league existed two years before it did and that the NBL and BAA did not really matter.
