Question about 1948-1949 Leaf
 

I bought this DiMaggio raw and sent it in for grading. It came back as a BGS 1 but on the flip it says 1949 Leaf. I thought they put what year it was printed on, on the flip and the DiMaggio says 1948 on the back, but I've seen more on eBay that also say 1949.

Copyright date reflects the year that the item was sent in to the copyright office for registration. The issue date of the cards could be later. This image is copyrighted 1862 but the card could have been issued any time before 1870:

Reading the back of the Leaf cards show they are from 1949.
