All of the larger letters in Griffey look off to me. Ie G, f's and y. I would pass .

One more authentic early career example to look at from my collection, circa 1991.

No good in my opinion, lots of things off. A couple things to note about Jr. Signatures (I have had probably a couple hundred, have lived in Seattle all my life and have examples from age 18-current). Balls signed nowadays from him have a heavier hand than back in the 1990s, thicker but still very flowing. Mostly I just wanted to mentioned that in the last year I think I have seen more fake Jr. Autographs than I have in the last twenty years.

Scott-
I was lucky enough to be #1 at an autograph signing back in '91 and he signed a card for me which looks exactly like the signature on the ball you posted! Jeff- I agree...seems like the fakes are coming out of the woodwork...in anticipation of his HOF entry in a few years? |
